New adventure

This year my mom and I were invited to take part in a "wreath" making day. A bunch of ladies get together and make their owns wreaths. When I was first asked to go, I thought to myself, self you have no talent to do this. But there would also be food and cocktails, and just a bit of talking smart. Now I figure I am good with all of those so why not go check it out. My mom got to my house early, and we went to buy our supplies. Now remember this was our first year. My friend "N" told me kinda want to get but we still had no clue. So, we had all our stuff and we headed to the shed. The first thing that hits you is the wonderful smell of pine boughs. And they are everywhere. And the ladies that cut them had about 5 or 6 different types to choice from. One of the gals got us started on our project and away we went. What fun we had. And when we were done with our wreaths we even went on to make a candy cane. We had a wonderful time.. And all the good food we got to sample was amazing too~ We can not wait to go back next year...

It Has Been Awhile....

I know it has been awhile since last I posted anything - but to be honest I really do not have that much going on in my world. The most excited thing I have done lately is bake fall/Halloween cookies. In which my daughter and her bf Evan helped with. It was a nice way to spend a few hours together on a Saturday.

Wheat Fields - Pumpkins - Sunflowers - Oh My

You would not know it is only the beginning of August...with the way the wheat is ready to be harvested, the pumpkins are orange and the Sunflowers are starting to bloom. I thought I would capture of few of these "late summer" moments. I hope you enjoy them!!!

Deer In The Garden ..

Monday night I was on my way outside to weed my garden... and what do I see... a deer. Yes, a deer, a doe to be exact, eating my peas. So I do a quick turn and than turn back to make sure I was seeing what I thought I saw....yup it is a deer in my garden. I quick run back in the house and tell my husband and daughter to look out the window.... Kevin is like were is your camera? I am like I don't know.. what - what do I mean I don't know.. it is not were it is suppose to be. And than I remember- it is in the camper box ( a box I keep in the house to haul stuff back and forth to carry stuff from the house to the camper) And of course, by the time I get my camera..the doe is walking away. She does not have a care in the world. We watched her for about 20 minutes. Sure wish she would of ate my weeds rather than the peas.. because the next 2 hours were spent weeding in the garden.....
